Deer hunting neighbors

I have my eyes on 2 different properties. One is bordered by weekend warriors from the cities 2 hrs away, and the other is bordered by locals who grew up there. Any considerations on which is better?

Steves reply-

That’s an extremely tough question to answer, as there are so many factors to consider outside of who owns what around you. That said, all else being equal, I’d rather have neighbors that don’t live on the property as neighbors. It increases the odds of them not being able to hunt as much. I’ll be honest, though. That would not be the top criteria I’d use to base my purchase on. Frankly, my top group would include purchase price, the quality of the habitat, what I could do to improve it, how well I believed it could hold deer and so on.
